Meeting the criteria for EU membership, Turkey has to invest in several sectors and transpose and/or implement European legislation. Most of the projects InfoMil is participating in Turkey, are being executed within the framework of the Dutch/Turkish G2G programme on behalve of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment (IM).
- Start trainings on the job 'Capacity building industrial air pollution control Turkey'
Turkey is a candidate Member State of the EU and is therefore intending to implement European environmental legislation. InfoMil together with DCMR (Enivronmental Protection Agency of Rotterdam) started a bilateral project for the department airmanagement of the Turkish Ministry of Environment and forestry on capacity building in industrial airpollution control. The project is a government to government (G2G) project of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment (IM).
- Control of Industrial Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Emissions
In this project administrative and legal conditions and structures to harmonise and implement the three EU Volatile Organic Compound Directives ( Storage-94/63/EC, Solvents-99/13/EC, Paints-2004/42/EC) are developed.
- Awareness raising on REACH and CLP Regulations for Turkish chemical industry and building up of regional industrial helpdesks
The objective of this project is to enhance capacity in public, semi-public and trade organizations to provide practical support to the chemical sector on the implementation of the REACH and CLP Regulations and raising awareness of the REACH and CLP Regulations
- Training of trainers in the field of Water and Environment
The purpose of the project "Training of trainers in the field of the Water and Environment acquis in Turkey" is to train three main representatives of key stakeholders in both content and implementation of the key EU Water Quality Sector Directives. With the results that the project provides, the Turkish Government is equipped to train agency staff and stakeholders in all 25 river basins.
- Implementation Directive Urban Waste water Treatment
InfoMil together with other Dutch organizations active in the water sector, are working in close cooperation with Turkish counterpart Iller Bank and beneficiary Ministry of Environment and Forestry on a government to government (G2G) project to Develop Appropriate Methodology for Wastewater Treatment in Small and Medium Sized Municipalities in Turkey.
